Visit Calhoun, Georgia

Calhoun is a charming town in Gordon County, located in northwestern Georgia, just a short distance from Atlanta. History of the Cherokee Indian Nation is abundant here, including the New Echota Historic Site which was the capital of the Cherokee Nation back in the 1800s. The Salacoa Creek Park is also close by, where you can enjoy fishing, swimming, and boating, as well as seeing restored Cherokee buildings and a museum.

A Prime Outlet Mall is located in Calhoun for shopping enthusiasts, filled with over 50 different factory outlet stores including Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, Old Navy, Gymboree, and Nike, just to name a few. There are also some antique stores nearby for those antique hounds.

For those interested in the arts, you can visit the Harris Arts Center, where you’ll find the Calhoun Little Theatre, Community Chorus, Visual Arts Guild, Music Guild, Literary Arts Guild, Roland Hayes Museum, and educational and community outreach programs.
